Common Questions

  • The duration of the post-operative care provided by a nurse is based on your specific requirements and needs. A personalized care plan, which may include regular assessments, wound management, and other recovery-related activities, will be created by me just for you. I will continue to support you until as long as you decide you need me. My packages are tailored to each individual need.

  • I am not associated with any one surgeon. I recover patients for many different surgeons. I am an Independent Registered Nurse that is hired directly by clients.

  • Call 513-678-7991 or click CONTACT US and schedule your FREE In-Home Care Assessment today.

  • Unfortunately, we don’t accept insurance. All plans must be paid using Cash, Debit or a Credit Card.

  • Depending on the type of surgery and needs of the patient, I am usually hired for 4 to 5 days and regularly recover patients for up to one week.

  • Yes! This is a wonderful way to recover and great for my patients to have a friend or family member to recover with.

  • If I am needed on a 24 hr basis I would usually sleep in a guest bed or on a couch. I don’t sleep much, especially the first night. But my clients are well taken care of and that is my goal.

  • I cover all my travel expenses and bring my own food.

  • My policy mirrors most plastic surgeons cancellation policies.

I require a 50% deposit to hold your spot on my calendar. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your surgery. The full cancellation policy is included in my service contract.

  • Our contract begins, and my fee starts, when I meet you face to face. This happens when your surgeons nurse feels you are safe to go home. At that time I become your advocate and assume your care. I will do my best to be flexible and want you to get the most of our time together.

  • Nutrition is critical to the healing process. We recommend foods that are easily digestible and packed with protein and essential nutrients. Having your body in optimal healing status before surgery will help you in your recovery and healing process. Some examples of the foods we recommend pre and post-surgery are nutrient-rich soups, oatmeal, yogurt with probiotics, fruits, avocados, hard-boiled eggs, lean proteins, whole grain options, protein-rich pancakes or waffles with nut butter, chicken or tuna salad, crackers, and clear sodas. We can even help meal with small meal/snack prep.

*(please remember that if you have a facelift you are going to want soft foods that are

    easy to chew)

  • Usually, Yes. I drive you home after surgery and to and from your post op appointment if it falls within our contracted time together. I will on occasion drive a client to the surgery as well if this is needed.

  • I do not have an “a la carte” menu of what I do for my clients. I take care of whatever you need. most importantly, I manage dressings, medications, drains, nutrition and the overall well-being of you. Once I am confident these things are taken care of, I handle anything you need. showering, toileting, massage, errands, food prep and anything that will create space for you to just rest and heal.
